Aaron and Alissa are good friends and former roommates of mine from Tempe, AZ – when they asked me to photograph their wedding at a private estate in Santa Barbara, I was humbled. They came out from Boston for their Santa Barbara wedding. Alissa’s grandmother volunteered her residence, nestled in the hills above the city, and it was transformed a couple of days later. The ceremony took place on the north lawn, and a poolside reception dinner followed. I borrowed the bride and groom for a moment before dancing began for a portrait, asked another old friend to help with lighting, and the dog joined us at just the right moment.
